The Bermont chapel and hermitage are situated in Greux in the department of the Vosges, three kilometers north to Joan of Arc’s native house. They are watching over the valley of the Meuse for more than a thousand years. Joan of Arc used to go there as a pilgrim on Saturdays and during the week so as to give altar candles and flowers to Notre Dame and to pray.

The construction of this sanctuary dates back to a very long time. Being a humble holy land and a discreet witness of the History of France since Hugues Capet, Bermont nevertheless survived through centuries.
