The Place Jeanne d’Arc – formerly ‘Place du Marché’ and ‘Place Royale’ – is the historical heart of the city. It is directly opened towards the main streets and it has exceptional continuity and spatial unit.
Two frontages – linear and curved – homogeneously built can be distinguished: private mansions and middle-class houses from the 16th, 17th and 18th century of similar height, stone dressed and with predominant horizontal lines.
